What is Overtone? Is it dye?

Overtone hair colors are color-depositing hair masks that condition while you color. Overtone Coloring Conditioners are curly-friendly, vegan and cruelty-free. They?™re also made without peroxide, ammonia, bleach, phthalates, parabens and PPDs.

What is the difference between Coloring Masks and Daily Conditioner?

Coloring Masks are the first step. Use them for initial color application and reapply every 3-4 weeks (as needed).

Daily Conditioners are made to help maintain your shade in between color applications. Use them in the shower in 3 mins or less.

How long does it last?

3-4 weeks. How long Overtone lasts in your hair will depend on the porosity, texture, and health of your hair, along with UV exposure levels and how often you shampoo.

Use cool water and sulfate-free shampoo. Re-apply as desired for buildable tone.

Do I need to bleach first?

If you want to use a Pastel shade we suggest pre-lightening hair, even if you?™re a natural blonde.

If your hair is dark brown or black and you want vivid results, you?™ll need to pre-lighten to achieve bolder, saturated color. Strand test first!
